Long View, NC is located in both Catawba and Burke county and has a diverse population of 5,088 residents as of the 2020 census. Long View has over 2,100 households within its town limits and more than 1,200 families.
Long View is governed by a Board of Alderpersons who oversee the legislative powers, the direction of the town government and general town management. Alderpersons are elected to represent 5 different Wards for 4 year terms. The Town Mayor serves as the official head of the town for the purpose of civil process and all ceremonial purposes. Day-to-day Town operations are overseen by a Town Manager, appointed by the Board of Alderpersons.
Long View has two main thoroughfares including US70 and I40, providing local businesses and citizens easy access to the surrounding sites, shopping and dining, and convenient lanes for local commerce.
